Rick Harrison

Vice Chair of California Association of Pest Control Advisers

Background

Rick Harrison is the Vice Chair of the California Association of Pest Control Advisers (CAPCA).  CAPCA represents more than 75% of the nearly 4,000 California EPA licensed pest control advisers that provide pest management consultation for the production of food, fiber, and ornamental industries of this State.  He is a Pest Control Adviser and Certified Crop Adviser for Crop Production Services in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties.  Rick makes recommendations for insect, disease, and nutrient management.  The crops that he specializes in are citrus, avocado, strawberry, caneberry, and sod production.  Rick sits on the Ventura County Asian Citrus Psyllid and Huanglongbing Taskforce recommending APC/HLB prevention and control strategies.  He received a Bachelor  of Science degree in Agricultural Biology at Cal Poly Pomona.  He obtained the Pest Control Adviser License in 2000.
